Amazing Matai

End of 2015 is near, we have been working on holiday activities and enjoying our last few days together, shared lunch, art, craft making etc...

Thank you to everyone for a fantastic year. I wish you all a safe and happy break and look forward to seeing you in 2016!

week 7

Wow what a great week we have had!

Our trip to Wellington was amazing, thanks again to all the parents that came and helped us on the day :) The children can not stop talking about all their adventures!

Just a reminder that Tuesday is scooter day at school. Please have a look for school library books at home and return to school asap because we have less than two weeks left and will need to clean things up.

Wellington trip

It is our trip tomorrow - Yipeeee!

Please be at the train station by 10:15am, the train leaves at 10:25 sharp and will not wait for anyone.

Children have wear their school uniform, school hats and sneakers ( comfortable shoes to walk in)
They need a big lunch and water to drink.

I am sending children home with their school hats today please make sure they have them tomorrow.

week 6

The term is going fast, next week we have our class trip to Wellington.
This week we have done a lot of talking about what we already know about Wellington and what we have seen. We have completed  cool pieces of art work that look like the city.

Thai deserts

Matai has been very lucky this week because Jonathan's mum, Taem, made two Thai deserts for us to try before the cutral food festival on Thursday night.
They were steamed banana in coconut milk and deep fried vegetables. We loved them both and can't wait  till Thursday night to try them again!

Week four

Wow this term is going so fast!

lots of leaning and fun activities are happening all around the school. This week don't forget about the cultural food festival on Thursday!

Our class trip to Wellington is coming up - remember your permission slips and $15 - its a fantastic day!

Week one

I am so proud of our calendar art. The children worked really hard at blending the pastels  and making the flowers look life like. Ka Pai Matai!

We ended the week with flower and pet day - wow what a fantastic day! So much fun was had by everyone and we created awesome flower displays. Thank you very much to the parents who came and helped for the day, I really appreciate it and the children love you being involved!

Term 4

Welcome back everyone, I hope you have had a well rested holiday and enjoyed being outside!

We have an extremely busy term ahead of us, every week there is something on so please record dates on your calendars and ask if you are unsure.
This week we have flower and pet day, flowers in the morning and pets in the afternoon. Please send you child to school with flowers, saucer and what everelse they may need to make their creations. It will be a fantastic day!

 Remember to Keep practicing your basic facts, learning new spelling words and reading every night.

What a great week!
We had bubbly time with Kauri on Friday. They helped us make friendship bracelets - lots of fun!
