Week 3

Another week has flown by.
The beach trip was fantastic, I put heaps of photos onto the solway school facebook pages because I had so many! Go and have a look if you haven't already!

We have been getting into our maths, reading and writing programmes.
Please read with your children every night, as this will help develop their fluency and through discussions,develop their understanding. Also this week I will send home a sheet to show you what your child needs to work on with their basic facts. Quick basic facts knowledge is the foundation on which your child will build strategies and develop further.
Remember learning needs to be FUN!

Week two

wow, fun, busy week!

We shared four special things about ourselves and learnt a lot about each other.

We are learning to reflect on our week and make a comment on our reflection board.

It has been so hot! Swimming has been a must to cool down. We are learning to glide, float, kick across the pool.

Look at us go!

Remember we are off to Riversdale on Thursday the 18th. $5 needs to be paid to the office. We need parents for a ratio of 1 to 5. ( you will also need to go in the sea)

It will be a great day!

week one

Great first week! We have hit the floor running, Matai is buzzing with fun and learning from each other.

We have been setting up routines, getting our stationary sorted, swimming, reading and on friday got a chance to have some free time.

This week we have our swimming sports on Friday at the town pools. PLEASE bring your togs EVERYDAY so we can practice!
